| Travelling by coach through the rolling hills of Alba and Asti well enjoy the wine and food of Piedmonte, such as truffles and porcini mushrooms. Next we travel southwest to Genoa to wander through the early morning street markets and dine at the Antica Osteria del Bai. Spend a lazy day in the picturesque villages of Cinque Terra, then to Tuscany. Lunch at Trattoria La Buatino in Lucca and on to admire the wonders of Pisa. We visit the ancient hill towns of San Gimignano, Volterra and Sienne and taste the wines of Machiavelli, Brunello di Barbi and Castello Vicchiomaggio. Stroll the streets of Florence and along the Ponte Del Vecchio. |

| In Bologna it's the shops and markets filled with the best that Italy has to offer. Close by at Monte del Re we enjoy the majesty of a 13th century castello. While in Bologna well day trip to Parma and Modena. In Parma well tour a producer of Italys' most famous cheese, Parmigiano Reggiano and sample Prosciutto Di Parma. On our way to Modena well lunch on the regions famous cured salumi at Trattoria Scarica . In Modena well tour an acetaia and attend a tasting of Aceto Balsamico Di Modena, hosted by the producers. In Bologna, the most famous region for food in all of Italy, well dine at L800 Enoteca Restaurant LEscargotiere. We enjoy a final evening at Ristorante Diana, Bolognas most renowned restaurant, before making our return to Toronto the following day. |
